Bentley, the best dog to ever be in the Ramsey family

Bentley entered our family six years ago. And, from that moment, he has been my best friend. He has always been a chill dog, and my favorite part about him is that he enjoys being cuddled up right next to me. Last year, he was diagnosed with diabetes. My parents think that while we were all home last spring due to COVID-19 , we gave him too many treats and "people food" which led to this diagnosis. But, now we can't go back, so we we need to give him the best life possible given these circumstances. He has to get two shots a day, one in the morning and then one in the evening. This was one of the worst parts of our days for awhile, because he would get scared and squeal, scarring my mom who would be the one giving him the shot. But, within the past four months or so he has gotten a lot better about his shots. He also has three medicines that he takes, and one of them he takes twice a day. And, he eats special dog food that is supposed to help regulate his blood sugar. Now, all of this may not seem worth it to some people because it does cost a lot of money, but Bentley has been in our family so long that we have developed such a strong relationship with him that we knew we had to do what we could. Now, 12 pounds lost later, he is just loving life, getting bunches of cuddles from me! I am sad that I can't take him with me next year to my dorm room!

Please enjoy these pictures of my sweet Bentley boy:
